I want to use a 12v dc actuator to make a can crusher ...

2016-2-10  29. Feb 9, 2016. #1. Hi I am wanting to make a can crusher. I want to use a 12v dc actuator. I want it to simply crush the can and automatically retract back and keep going until you push a stop button. I was thinking maybe some photo eyes and latching relays or even a timer. But I need to know how you would wire this up so it will work right.

Brushed DC Motors and How to Drive Them

2020-9-2  The Alternative: Brushless DC Motors. As its name suggests, a brushless DC motor has no brushes. Instead it uses transistors in the electronic control circuitry to apply and remove power to the rotor's wire, producing an alternating current from a DC supply to reverse the current on each half-cycle, achieving continuous rotation.

DC Motor - Definition, Working Principle, Types, Uses, FAQs

A DC motor is defined as a class of electrical motors that convert direct current electrical energy into mechanical energy. From the above definition, we can conclude that any electric motor that is operated using direct current or DC is called a DC motor. We will understand the DC motor construction and how a DC motor converts the supplied DC ...

DC Motor - Basics, Construction, Types Its Application

What is DC Motor? A DC motor is an electric motor that runs on direct current power. In an electric motor, the operation is dependent upon simple electromagnetism. A current-carrying conductor generates a magnetic field, when this is then placed in an external magnetic field, it will encounter a force proportional to the current in the conductor and to the strength of the external magnetic field.
